COVID-19 – Updates and Clarifications

Governor J.B. Pritzker announced yesterday that Illinois' Stay at Home order has been extended with some modifications until May 30. Under this new order, some businesses which were previously forced to close, such as outdoor nurseries, dog groomers, and some retail stores, will be allowed to open, with certain restrictions.

Golf courses will also be allowed to open, and the Addison Park District is making plans to open under the Governor's requirements; more information will follow at AddisonParks.org.

The Governor also announced that face masks or face coverings will be required in public indoor spaces where 6-foot social distancing cannot be maintained.  This has prompted many phone calls to Village Hall asking for clarification; this order does NOT require residents to wear face masks anytime they are outside their home.  However, businesses may require customers to wear a mask while inside.
