25th ANNUAL MAYOR'S COMMUNITY CHARITY BALL NOVEMBER 14
Reservations Available at Village Hall, Online at ItHappensInAddison.com
Since 1991, community members in Addison have gathered each year to raise money for local causes that benefit various causes near and dear to the heart of our community. More than $800,000 has been raised and distributed, to be used right here in Addison – from feeding the needy to scholarship opportunities, and from aiding those with substance abuse problems to providing cultural and educational programs.
The 25th Annual Mayor’s Community Charity Ball will be held on Saturday, Nov, 14 at Alta Villa Banquets, 430 N. Addison Road, and the community is once again invited and encouraged to attend.
Dinner tickets are $85 per person, a portion of which supports the 20 organizations that are a part of the event. Those who purchase tickets by Oct. 30 pay just $80.
“I’ve had the opportunity to attend this event from the beginning, when it was hosted by Village President Anthony Russotto,” said Mayor Rich Veenstra, who will host the event with his wife Maryann. “Tony would be proud to see how it has grown from about 100 people who raised nearly $1,000, to last year, when there were nearly 600 people, and we raised $53,000.”
Attendees are treated to open bar, dinner, entertainment by the Addison Trail High School Chamber Strings and Elmhurst College Jazz Band, cash raffle and silent auction. Those who cannot attend are encouraged to still participate by making a donation, purchasing raffle tickets, or bidding in the online silent auction. Information is available at ItHappensInAddison.com.
The benefitting organizations are: Addison Community Switchboard, Addison Center for the Arts, Addison Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Addison Rec Club, Americans of Italian Descent, Concord Lutheran School, District 4 Educational Foundation, District 88 Foundation, GlenOaks Hospital Foundation, Good Samaritan United Methodist Church, Kiwanis Club of Addison, Knights of Columbus, Lutherbrook Child & Adolescent Center, Medinah Shriners, Parks & Recreation Foundation, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Serenity House Counseling Services, Sister Cities of Addison, Student Participation Center and Women’s Club of Addison.
