Profile: Appointed as Village Manager in 1989, previously served as Assistant Village Manager in 1986. BA in Public Administration from Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois in 1979 and MA in Public Administration from Northern Illinois University in De Kalb, Illinois in 1980. Mr. Block has served as an adjunct lecturer in the Department of Political Science at Lewis University and has also taught courses at the Graduate School at Northern Illinois University. Previously employed by the Village of Orland Park and Village of Woodridge. He served as Chairman of the Intergovernmental Risk Management Agency (IRMA) in 1991 as well as Secretary/Treasurer of the DuPage Mayors and Managers Conference in 2004-05. Mr. Block and his wife Karin have lived in Addison since 1987.
