COMMUNITY INAUGURATION CEREMONY TO BE HELD APRIL 28
Officials From All Local Taxing Bodies to Take Oaths of
Office
Governmental agencies in Addison will host a Community Inauguration Ceremony
on Thursday, April 28, 2005 at 7 p.m. in the Village Hall Rotunda, at One
Friendship Plaza. Officials elected during the April 5 Consolidated Election
will take their oaths of office during this community event.
Officials from the Village of Addison, Addison Park District, Addison Public
Library, Addison Elementary School District 4 and DuPage High School District 88
will be sworn in by judges of the 18th Judicial Circuit Court of DuPage County,
the Honorable Joseph Bongiorno, the Honorable Ronald Sutter and the Honorable
Kenneth Torleumke.
The ceremony will feature music from the Indian Trail Junior High School
Orchestra and Addison Trail High School Jazz Ensemble. Students in Driscoll
Catholic High School’s Ambassador program, as well as participants in the
Northeast DuPage Special Recreation Association (NEDSRA) will act as greeters
and ushers during the event.
This is the second time that Addison’s local taxing bodies have collectively
sworn in their elected officials; a Community Inauguration Ceremony was held in
April 2003.
The public is invited to attend. Refreshments will be served following the
