Addison Police Department Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association Application Form (pdf)

About the Alumni Association

The Addison Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association consists of graduates of the Addison Citizens' Police Academy... a program which was designed by the Addison Police Department, in a classroom setting, with first-hand information about how the police department works. The program increases understanding between citizens and the police through education, acquainting citizens with law enforcement's role in the criminal justice system, and providing increased understanding of the tasks police officers face in their daily work. With better understanding, it becomes easier for police and citizens to find realistic solutions to neighborhood problems.

Citizens Police Academy
The Academy is open to all residents of Addison over the age of 18 and affords them an inside look at how their police department operates. The course runs for eleven weeks, and each class is two and one-half hours long. The class culminates with a graduation ceremony. Applications can be obtained from the Addison Police Department or on the Village of Addison website, any additional questions, please contact Sergeant Karen Miller at (630) 543-3080.
